This is a series of memoirs from me after a certain “incident” happened. I’ve traversed through at least 30 timelines trying to change the past, but to no avail. I’ve lost my existence after making too many dangerous, paradoxical decisions, so I’m just sitting here in limbo. I’m sure that my time to return is coming near, though, so maybe this’ll be useless in the future. Or maybe not.
Timeline 1 starts
ㅤ
ㅤ
ㅤ
I find out she experimented on everyone, including me
ㅤ
ㅤ
Sana’s despair thickens after Momo’s death, but we pull through together
ㅤ
The party happens; Nayeon and Jeongyeon go missing after telling everyone they're going to run some errands
ㅤ
ㅤ
I start work on my time machine with Sana; Momo dies from grief
ㅤ
ㅤ
I finally finish the machine; Sana decides not to come with me and wishes me a tearful goodbye
The typical timeline is like this, with a few differences here and there.
sweet dreams have fled
by Friedrich Nietzsche
Entflohn die holden Träume,
Entflohn Vergangenheit,
Die Gegenwart ist schaurig,
Die Zukunft trüb u. weit.
Ich habe nie empfunden
Des Lebens Lust u. Glück
Auf Zeiten längst verschwunden
Schau traurig ich zurück.
Ich weiß nicht, was ich liebe,
Ich habe nicht Fried, nicht Ruh
Ich weiß nicht, was ich glaube,
Was leb ich noch, wozu?
Ich möchte sterben, sterben
Schlummern auf grüner Haid'
Ueber mir ziehen die Wolken,
Um mich Waldeinsamkeit.
Des Weltalls ewge Räder
Rollen im kreisenden Lauf
Des Erdballs rostge Feder
Zieht stets sich von selber auf.
Wie schön, so 'rumzufliegen
Als Luft um den kreisenden Ball
In alle Winkel zu kriechen,
Versiegen im schwebenden All!
Wie schön, die Welt zu verschlingen
In universellen Drang.
Und dann eine Zeitschrift schreiben
Ueber den Weltumfang.
In meines Magens Schlünde
Zwängt ich Unendlichkeit
Bewies dann durch tausend Gründe,
Endlich sei Welt u. Zeit.
Sweet dreams have fled,
The past has fled,
The present is gloomy,
The far-off future bleak.
Having never experienced
The joy and happiness of life,
I look back sadly
Upon long-vanished times.
I do not know what I love,
I have neither peace nor rest.
I do not know what I believe,
Why I still live — for what?
I would like to die, die
Dozing upon a green meadow
Clouds drifting by above me,
Forest-solitude around me.
The universe's eternal wheels
Roll in a circular path —
The rusty spring of the globe
Constantly winds itself up.
How nice to fly about
Like air around the revolving ball
Creeping into every corner,
Subsiding in soaring space!
How nice to engulf the world
In universal intensity.
And then write a journal
About the world's circumference.
In the pit of my stomach
I would constrain infinity,
Proving, then, with a thousand reasons,
That world and time are finite.

Nayeon and the others were dressed in light, casual clothes that day. We were attending a party dedicated to the new year, and all seemed well. Everything was normal until Nayeon told us she was going to go run some errands. Before she ran off, she gave me a post-it note and told the others and I to take care. I haven’t seen her since then.

After Nayeon ran off, everyone felt a sense of tension and urgency. Despite that, Jeongyeon gave me a handful of flowers and said she was going to join her as well. I think she knows something, just like Nayeon; I just can’t put my tongue on it. But why are they doing this, right out of the blue? Whatever. I’ll find out soon anyways. The future seems bleak, but I’ll gladly welcome it with open arms.

Momo is quiet, just like me. She's usually very reserved and only talks to Sana, Jeongyeon, Nayeon and I, but when Nayeon and Jeongyeon went missing she was heartbroken. I had never seen Momo so distraught, up until that very day. Actually, I haven't seen anyone that shattered and distressed. She locked herself up in her room for weeks on end, refusing to eat anything. She died later that month. It was horrible what happened to her and everyone else. I'll fix everything, just for them.
Sana's a nice fellow to hang around with - she's cheerful, but she knows when to get serious. She was my partner in all of this (until I lost my physical form, of course). She helped me out on building my time machine, and refused to come with me at first. After a bit of convincing that she'll be a great help in fixing the past with her diplomatic skill, she gave in and came with me.
